The Status Page lets you communicate the real-time status of your services to your customers: which components are operational, which ones are experiencing issues, and which incidents are ongoing. It is accessible from the main Tools tab, then Status Page.
Note: The Status Page is a beta feature. Contact Astry support to enable it for your organization.
Dashboard
The Status Page dashboard shows a real-time view of what your customers see: the global status of your services, the state of each component, ongoing incidents, and the 90-day availability history.
Components
Components represent the services or infrastructure elements displayed on your Status Page (for example Public API, Customer portal, Payments). Each component has a name, a description, and can be placed in a group.
The status of a component (Operational, Maintenance, Degraded performance, Partial outage or Major outage) can be:
- automatic: it is computed from an Astry monitor linked to the component
- declared manually
For an automatic component, you can still force a status temporarily (for example during maintenance), with an internal reason (not displayed publicly) and an optional expiry date.
Public incidents
Public incidents are incidents as your customers read them. Each public incident has a title, a severity (Minor, Major or Critical), the affected components and a message. It can stay as a draft, then be published to (or hidden from) the Status Page. Successive updates let you keep your customers informed of the progress: Investigating, Identified, Monitoring, then Resolved.
You can also publish to the Status Page directly from the page of an Astry incident or crisis, using the Publish to the Status Page action: you then choose which items to make public, and rewrite the message for your customers.
