Incidents

The Inbox

The Inbox lists all the incidents and crises of your organization: search, filters, sorting and bulk actions.

The Inbox is the home page of your Astry workspace. It brings together, in a single list, all the incidents and crises of your organization. It is accessible from the main Inbox tab and refreshes automatically.

List content

Each row of the Inbox displays:

  • the priority of the incident
  • its title
  • the team or user it is assigned to
  • its creation date (and its resolution date, if applicable)
  • its tags

Crises appear in the same list, with a CRISIS badge. Clicking on a row opens the incident or crisis page.

Search, filter and sort

Several tools help you quickly find an incident:

  • search, by incident title (or by title and summary for a crisis)
  • quick filters, whose selection is kept from one visit to the next:
    • Mine or My teams
    • Incidents and/or Crises
    • Open, Acknowledged and/or Resolved (by default, only Open and Acknowledged incidents are displayed)
  • the Filter menu, which lets you combine filters on type, status, priority, users, teams and period (last hour, last day, last week, last month, last year). Active filters are displayed as chips, which you can remove one by one or all at once using Reset.
  • the Sort menu, by date (newest or oldest first) or by priority (from high to low, or the other way around)

The number of rows displayed per page can be configured (from 5 to 100).

Bulk actions

By ticking several rows, you can apply the same action to all the selected items using the Group action button:

  • Re-open the selected items
  • Acknowledge them
  • Resolve them
  • Delete them (Owners only)

Note: Since crises have no Acknowledged state, they are skipped during a bulk acknowledgement. They are also skipped during a bulk deletion.

Create an incident or declare a crisis

Two buttons at the top of the Inbox let you:

  • create an incident manually (title, priority, description, and optionally the assigned team, resources and tags). If you don't choose a team, the routing rules assign the incident.
  • declare a crisis (see Crises).

Overview

When the Inbox overview feature is enabled for your organization, two panels are displayed at the top of the Inbox:

  • Impacted resources: the resources of your organization currently affected by incidents or crises
  • Recent activity: the latest events that occurred within your organization

Note: The Inbox overview is a beta feature. Contact Astry support to enable it for your organization.
