Comparison

Astry vs PagerDuty, Splunk On-Call & OpsGenie

An honest, feature-by-feature comparison to help you choose the right on-call and incident management platform - including what to do if you’re currently on OpsGenie.

On OpsGenie? It’s being discontinued.

End of life

Atlassian has ended new signups and sales of OpsGenie, redirecting new investment to Jira Service Management. Existing customers must migrate their data and configurations before April 5, 2027. If your team relies on OpsGenie, it’s worth evaluating a replacement before the migration becomes urgent — Astry’s team can help you move your schedules and escalations over at no extra cost.

Why teams choose Astry

PagerDuty and Splunk On-Call are established, capable platforms. Astry takes a different approach.

Transparent, all-inclusive pricing

No hidden add-ons for SSO, status pages or advanced escalations. One price per user, and a 30-day free trial to test it risk-free.

Beyond IT: crisis & continuity

The encrypted vault and crisis-communication chains give you a minimum-viable BCP/DRP (PRA/PCA), not just IT incident alerting.

Built & hosted in France/EU

Native French and English support, and data hosted in the EU — a plus for organizations with strict data residency or GDPR requirements.

Up and running in minutes

No sales calls required to get started. Sign up, invite your team, set up your first schedule — done.

A closer look at each alternative

PagerDuty

One of the pioneers of incident response and on-call management. PagerDuty offers a broad ecosystem (AIOps, automation, integrations) that suits large enterprises willing to invest time and budget into configuring it. Its pricing is tiered, with many capabilities gated behind higher plans or paid add-ons.

Consider Astry if: you want the essentials of on-call management without the complexity and cost of a large enterprise platform.

Splunk On-Call

Formerly VictorOps, Splunk On-Call is an incident response tool now part of Splunk (acquired by Cisco). It integrates tightly with the Splunk observability suite, which is a strength if you’re already invested in that ecosystem, but adds complexity if you’re not — and it’s no longer sold as a simple standalone, per-user plan.

Consider Astry if: you want a standalone on-call tool that doesn’t require buying into a broader observability stack.

OpsGenie

End of life

OpsGenie was Atlassian’s on-call and alerting product. New signups and sales have already ended, and Atlassian requires existing customers to migrate their data to Jira Service Management before April 5, 2027. If you’re currently on OpsGenie, treat this date as a deadline to plan your next step.

Consider Astry if: you’d rather migrate once, to a product actively developed, than twice.
